THE LIFE OF A POLITICIAN

Any political movement keen on maintaining voter influence must master the art of countering disinformation and fake news. As one wise man once said “a lie travels around the globe while the truth is still putting on its shoes. To achieve superiority, three fundamental functions must be established in a political campaign . First, there must be a structured information management system. Second, a willingness to stare at the truth, evidence and numbe rs without flinching. And third, leaders must embrace proposals for improvement and provide resources. However, in a political culture where the end justifies the means and key campaign functions are allocated to goons and ethnic chiefs, the space for a fully-fledged, professionally-run campaign is limited. What tends to happen is that after elections, political parties cease to exist. Then, two years to the next elections, they re-emerge, delegate meetings are sponsored and candidates declared as the party flag bearers.

Youth in Politics and decision making

Young people need to be given a chance to express themselves in ways that they are passionate about. Policies effecting youth can be framed by young people themselves rather than old politicians, who most probably cannot feel the contemporary problems young people are facing. Youth should be given the opportunity to prove themselves by making politics accessible to the them. The right balance of young talent and experienced politicians can lead to the cleaning of politics and can restore the public faith in the political system.   The role of the youth of Zimbabwe   is to educate itself and engage in activities and debates that will shape their future. This role though, is one that can only be taken up with sufficient motivation and support from individuals who see the youth beyond the labels that have been placed on them such as “lazy”, “ignorant”, “irresponsible” and plenty other terms. We want our youths to be economically and psychologically emancipated so that they can live to

People's Freedom

Freedom should not be understood to mean leadership positions or even appointments to top positions. It must be understood as the transformation of the lives ordinary people in the hostels and the ghettos; in the squatter camps; on the farms and in the mine compounds. It means constant consultation between leaders and members of their organisations; it demands of us to be in constant touch with the people, to understand their needs, hopes and fears; and to work together with them to improve their conditions.” – Nelson Mandela

As we try to shape a better future let it be clear that the old guard politicians must not be allowed to continue to impose their old moribund paradigm on us but rather let us all reject anything to do with the past and be the change we seek! The only hope is on  # APA 2018

Why we are in this current Situation, Cry my beloved Zimbabwe

„ We are all comrades fighting a common struggle to achieve total control of power and to defeat the enemy My opinion is that if we had a common enemy we should get together commonly. Let's put our differences aside and together fight the Injustice . In politics, it's easier to unite against a common foe than toward a common good.   Its not by choice that we in this current situation , the few ruling hateless elite has caused us to be in the scenario. I think its a wrong conception of those in Zanu PF party that opposition or the Third Force movement ‘s fight is about fighting a the government or regime change agenda as they always say . The rise of opposition parties in Zimbabwe is about the bad   governance and service delivery   system being delivered by Zanu PF government .   It is about fighting a Fascist regime   manufactured type of governance   ".   A limiting idea manufactured by the struggle elite who believe in entitlement to political and therefore eco

Coalition politics

Mairead Finley (Jan 2012.) in her presentation On Discuss the Advantages and Disadvantages of a Coalition Government.”   The Author said   that a coalition government consists of two or more parties who must compromise on principles and share a mandate. This mostly occurs due to a single party unable to gain a majority of seats in parliament Coalitions are mostly formed through elections but coalition governments can also occur in times of national difficulty, Coalition governments   arguably divide opinion, but those in favour of proportional representation believe it can lead to consensus politics, and it is also seen by many as the more favourable option in times of national crisis, moreover, coalitions can also be better than having a minority government. However, many believe that they are undemocratic and can lead to drastic policies being put through, upon a mandate that was not agreed on, with problems also on proportionality. To determine a conclusion to this i

THIRD FORCE CONCEPT

The political situation in Zimbabwe   is paralyzed. It is sick and needs resurgence. How dysfunctional our political institutions have become and the systemic failures across board are difficult to fathom. Enormous arrogance and greed across politically as well as parastatal institutions leave   much to be desired. Arrogance surely is neither a virtue nor greed in politics. There is growing evidence that emphasizes a third force movement in Zimbabwe politics. Yes, a Third force because a number of factors are contributing to the resurgence of a third force. The performance of the main political parties is a decline while the future electoral prospect for a third political force is not in doubt.Third Force cannot simply be a vehicle focused on electoral politics/elections;     Third Force must be multifaceted with the capacity to utilize community organizing, campaigns around issues affecting the generality of Zimbabwe, and policy advocacy to advance a vision/mission and agenda
